If you can’t make it all this holiday season, whatever you can’t make yourself, buy from someone who can. Support a home crafter. I’m putting this post up so CITR readers can buy from CITR readers. If you are a home crafter, post your link!
(If you have a really long url, you may need to shorten it.)
P.S. If you want to leave a comment telling a little about what you sell in your shop, please do! (It will also help me verify real crafters. I’m already getting spammed here and am deleting spam links.)

I just want to say though, that I love, Love, LOVE the picture on this post Suzanne. Every time I see it I just melt into a puddle of summer scents, warmth, and sunshine. You need to print it up and put it for sale yourself!!!!

I’ve been reading you for roughly a year now and you never fail to inspire me to get back to my roots. I’m a work at home single mom, moved back in with my parents, trying to get a bit of family land back in shape. It’s not easy, that’s for sure. I loathe the idea of working in the corporate world, so I craft at home. Before my implet came along, I was a costumer, but fancy fabrics and infant fingers really just don’t mix! Now, it’s a bit of whatever I can do on the fly!

I love how you take an idea and make it better. Earlier, I saw the link from the shepherdess and looked at her soap (looks lovely too:). I can only assume that gave you the idea to create a post of links – or maybe it’s just something you’ve always done – but it’s wonderful and very kind of you, and useful to us.

Thank you, Suzanne. I have been selling handmade items on ebay for some time and am trying to get going with Etsy. I have mostly padded seatbelt covers on Etsy and crochet hook cases. Ebay is more accessories for those silly little Zhu Zhu pets. They funded Christmas last year and it looks like they will again. Thanks again for the help! Back to the sewing machine…

I also checked out Shepherd’s site and when I came back I was thrilled to see your post. I would much rather buy from our friends here at CITR than anywhere else. Thank you so much for doing this :snoopy:

Thank you SO much, Suzanne! I’m happy that my comment on your previous post triggered the idea. How awesome that we can shop from and inspire one another. I can’t wait to check out everyone else’s links and see what they’re making.
I started selling my crafts as a means of making money so that I can keep my home and animals. I lost my job a year ago and have yet to find another. It doesn’t help that I’m 45 minutes from the nearest city and am almost 58 years old. I kept reading about “doing what you love” and decided to give it a try. I don’t think I’ve been this happy since my children were little!
I sell homemade goat milk soap in a variety of sizes, shapes and scents. I specialize in needle-felted soap. Using a felting needle and wool from my Shetland sheep, I create felted animals out of bars of goat milk soap! I have 2 different sheep designs and just finished my first PIG! (she’s adorable if I DO say so myself!)
I offer lots of other stuff too but I better quit hogging the comment section! THANK YOU, SUZANNE!!!

How nice of you to host all us crafters. I would rather buy from friends than just anyone. And although I have only been on this site for a little while I feel like it is filled with a bunch of like minded folks that are looking to simplify life and become self sufficient.
At my etsy site, FlemingFarmDesigns, I have recycled items that I have produced for several years. As soon as I get my desktop back up I will list some more items. I also have a few of my hand painted, recycled vintage treasures. I try to live the recycled life when I can. If you shop at my store you will be helping an out of work student pay for the next and final semester of school so I can get my degree. I plan to shop this afternoon for gifts for my family right here on CITR!!!
