Stealing Autumn

Oct
21

This is the autumn of the swamp.

Hope there aren’t any monsters.

I feel as if I’m missing out on fall because it’s been such a wet fall here.

Rain isn’t good for fall color. Storms make the leaves fall faster, cutting short what already feels like a short season.

I go outside to the soppy woods and take Autumn by the throat. Er, branch. Orange:

Yellow:

Red:

Some green, as a homage to summer:

I will keep Autumn in here with me, where it’s warm.

Maybe that will make her stick around just a little bit longer…….. I hear Winter creeping in the back door……

Beautiful arrangement of leaves. I think winter is beating down my back door since it was snowing a little here when I went to bed last night.

Beautiful pictures!!! Here in Phoenix, we don’t get much fall color unless we go up to the mountains.

It’s really nice to be reminded that Fall is not the bitter end, but a new beginning of another season.
Thanks for the nice reminder and post. The photos are beautiful also.

Our trees are just beginning to turn colors. It does seem unfair, however, for them to fall off in just a few days after they change color. Maybe a spray glue for trees? While we are at it..some green paint for the grass too! :snoopy:

What beautiful colors showing us the wonder of God’s Work.

We are having a beautiful Autumn, but…forecast for next week here in Northern CA is for temps to be in the 20’s Brr. We are not far from Mt. Shasta which is covered in snow already. Stoke up the fire!

Fall is my favorite season…and I have to work. Summer is my least favorite season and I have the whole time off! Today is supposed to be beautiful. Maybe I can find some leaves as pretty as Suzanne’s pics.
