It’s a word. I heard George Bush use it one time.

We painted the whole house. THE WHOLE HOUSE. In two days.

I am exhaustified.

Oh, Suzanne, no wonder you all are exhausted! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

That’s a *huge* amount of work in such a short time, but oh, doesn’t it feel great to be done? You are ever-so-much closer to MOVING IN! Yippee!

As for anything your president might have said, I’ll refrain from tying any comments, lest I be banned from this site. 😆

  2. Shirley says:

Exhaustion from doing something that makes you feel like you’ve accomplished so much is a lot different from when you’ve just been working hard. I bet you went to sleep with a smile on your face. I know this was a labor of love.

The burning question to me right now is what kind of surface are you putting on the driveway?

And as for your president. NOOOO Coment!!!

  3. jan says:

 Well done! Love the colors. Love that the kids are a part of it all. What is Shirley talking about…driveways in farms in WV are dirt or gravel. I bet she is a city slicker.

I’m in awe. LOVE the color and your choice of snack food! :purr:

LOL, Jan, isn’t that the truth! We put like five truckloads of rock down at the start of construction so the heavy construction trucks could get materials up the hill. They did, but in the process all those heavy trucks ground that rock down into the dirt, so we have to start all over with more rock now that construction is over. We had one truck out last week and the guy ran his truck off the hill in the slick mud and had to be pulled out by Steve-the-Builder. He said to call him again when it stopped raining. I guess he means sometime this summer…..!!!!

  6. Becky says:

I’m exhaustified just reading about it!

President Bush is quite the wordsmith, isn’t he? I haven’t been able to take him seriously since the first time he said “NOO-kyoo-ler” instead of “nuclear.”

  7. lintys says:

Congratulations on getting the job done! My arms are starting to hurt just thinking about how exhausted you must be.

And I too must keep my comments about our president to myself, as I have resolved to post only positive comments on my daily blog rounds.

  8. Maria says:

Ditto on the exhaustion by proxy. I think I need a nap. While I love this picture and look at those 5lb buckets of drywall mud with fondness, it’s really the Lay’s Chips bag that are making me very, very hungry right now. But first, a nap.

(congrats!! I think you’ll be moved in soone!)

  9. kacey says:

wow, that is impressive! The whole house. I never would have given you any odds that you’d finish a whole house in one weekend. Even when you didn’t have furniture to work around and flooring to protect. Impressive!

  10. shai says:

Good job! You had some good helpers too. Got alot of dems out there.

  11. Jill S. says:

TWO days? Very impressive. Can you come do my place now?

  12. Karen Erickson says:

Wow I can’t believe you did it all in two days! I know you’re exhausted but I bet you’re glad it’s done. 🙂

  13. Sonja Foust says:

Oh my god, I’m exhausted just thinking about that. Congrats and WHEW, take a nap!

  14. Lisa J says:

with great works comes great rewards!! Job well done

  15. Cyndi says:

    I am impressified!

  16. Robin G. says:

That is some serious devotion to a specific move-in date. Kudos.

Am I reading that right? It’s 68 and sunny where you are? Do you know how much I hate you right now?

  17. Cheryl says:

    Suzanne for President!!!!!

  18. Tori Lennox says:

You deserve a long vacation after you get moved in! 🙂

  19. Alice Audrey says:

You got all the painting done in two days? Did the paint have a chance to dry? I did my bathroom last summer from sheet rock and had to do FIVE coats – and that included three with “one coat” paint.

  20. Brandy says:

No comment on the President, but I make up words all the time when I am TOO TIRED to figure out the correct word! *G*
The painting looked wonderful (I peaked at the other post), way to go!

  21. Susan says:

Wow! Two days is unbelievable. You, 52 and the kids deserve a day of pampering. :purr:

  22. Estella says:

Congratulations to you and your crew! You deserve a rest now.

  23. Lis says:

Wow, all that in 2 days? Amazing!! :shimmy:

  24. Renna says:

Well, I am ASTOUNDIFIED that you completed the job in a weekend! You’re doing a good thing, teaching your kids the vaule of work, and of a job well done. They’ll take more pride in the ownership of your home, having taken part in achieving it’s beauty.

If you were my neighbor, I’d have brought you guys snacks and lemonaide; but at least you had Georgia and her brownies. I wish I had a Georgia in my life!

  25. Marty says:

WOW! I’m just catching up on everything you’ve been doing with the house! It looks wonderful!

  26. annbb says:

    Where are the pictures??

  27. Amy Addison says:

Oh, Suzanne! It looks beautiful! I’m so glad Princess went with the brown.

LOL on the sleeping teenage son….mine is the exact same way!

  28. catslady says:
