Thank you to those of you who came out to Taylor Books last night!
IMAG20441
Forum moderator Pete, friend Amanda, and my “official photographer” Jerry Waters kept me company (and brought me wine from ArtWalk). Here are a few pics from the signing (thank you, Jerry!) to prove that I actually will sign books despite my autographing phobia.

Come see me at a signing and you will absolutely get a hug. I’m a hugger. And I love so much to see you!

If you missed me at Taylor Books, find me on Saturday, October 26, starting at noon, at Books-a-Million in Charleston (Southridge/Corridor G)–I’m planning to bring Maia with me! (She’ll be outside on the sidewalk with Morgan, greeting customers and wearing her Superman cape.)

I so wish I could come to the book signing on Saturday! But I live 500 miles away in Georgia. I’ve read the book already and I loved it. I moved away from WV 15 years ago, and your blog and book keep me in touch with my mountain state roots. The past few years, I have really been feeling the tug to move back, so I’m happy to see that you went home to WV and you’re thriving there. Congrats!

I didn’t get to come last night 😥 I had been looking at a new car and was dealing on it last night. When I was finished it was 7:17. I’m hoping my daughter will bring my book to BAM next week. I will be out of town but I know my granddaughters would LOVE to see Maia. Sorry I missed you.

I have my book and you can fingerprint it instead of signing. SOMEDAY you and I will meet. I like your haircut- looks nice. The book is great, thank you for the hard work you did on it. I am on chapter 13.

I just finished reading your book. I’m sorry you had such a rough time with 52. He is, however, right about one thing–your readers, including me, do love you!!! :sun:

I live too far away to make it to a book signing but I have to say that I would love to meet you now more than ever! My books came yesterday and I sprinted back to the house doing my best Steve Martin impression waiving the box like he did when the new phone book arrived in the movie The Jerk announcing to my visiting parents that “My books are here, my books are here!”. I had ordered two so I could have one to share and they became the lucky recepients. After reading the jacket (mostly out loud) my dad was very intrigued, even more so after I explained how I learned to do so many things from reading your website. Including but not limited to the soap in my soap dish and the fresh loaves of Grandmother bread on the table. He left with the book securely tucked under his arm. I started reading mine this morning and finished this afternoon. I laughed and I cried and I cheered. It was everything I had expected and more. I have truly enjoyed every post I have ever read on your blog as well as countless recipes and how to’s and now I have a good old fashioned printed book to hold on to. One day I will make it to one of your wonderful retreats, if the good Lord’s willing (no more worrying about the creek rising!) Thank you!!

Oh I wish I were close enough to have my copy signed and to see Maia in person (or should that be goat?)

Today is a rainy day, perfect for reading “CITR” cover to cover.

Too bad Finland is so far away from there!

I got your book in the mail today and I just couldn’t put it down, but I had to because I couldn’t keep my eyes open anymore 🙂 Congratulations!
