Dear Spring….
How I waited for you.
How I pined.
I missed you so much and yet now….
….with your constant….
….and I mean constant….
….rain….
….you have been a huge disappointment, dear Spring.
At least to most of us.
You were better as a memory. So much better, in fact, that–
YOU CAN’T BE SPRING! You can be naught but an imposter! Spring’s evil twin, mayhap? I’m on to you.
This, this, is the real Spring.
My Spring.
And so as Summer approaches, peeking its bright face between your dark clouds, to you, you soggy sham, I say–
….don’t let the door hit you on the you-know-what on the way out.

It rained here ALL day in NW Indiana, but I was glad for it, for some reason, my garden was terribly dry….BUT it was only FIFTY degrees all day long….what in the world? It’s the middle of June!

I am so sick and tired of the cold rainy days. It has been like this for weeks! :hissyfit: My garden is stunted, my potatoes are all leggy looking for the sun and now with all the rain they have all keeled over!!! I want SUMMER :sun: so I can hang out with my chickens, hike and go for motorcycle rides. This stinks!

I feel the same way! I planted without tilling up the garden this year because it was too wet to till. Now its too wet to till between the rows and the grass is taking over!
Way too few long, warm, sunny motorcycle rides over the countryside!
Rain, Rain go away!! Where is our real spring?? Bring her back!!

Wet here too in PA. The cooler evenings I do not complain. We do not have A/C so its nice sleeping at night. lol. But darn I wish we had more sun.

:sun: We have had so much rain around the D.C. area it is getting sickening! It has rained just about every day for a month and a half, with a nice day here and there. When the sun comes out, people go crazy! LOL! It’s as if they’ve never seen it before! It has already rained this morning, but the sun is out now. We’ve had awesome thunderstorms almost every night, and will probably have one tonight. As long as another 150 year old tree doesn’t fall, we’re good! Have a great weekend! I’m sending sun and summer your way! :purpleflower: :ladybug:

Well, I don’t like to be in it, but I respect it and hope that it comes. Rain is so essential to life. I just wish it wasn’t quite so . . . Well, WET. LOL Everything is so nice and clean and you don’t have to use treated water for your garden. BRING IT ON!

Send Rain and you will see your sweet, warm, sunshiny :sun: Spring :sun: again.

This is week two of rain in Reno, Nevada. Not constant, but daily.
Its actually GREEN outside, and my water bill rejoices. I could do without 4 damp, muddy, smelly dogs, but its a small price to pay for GREEN. Send it my way…..i love it.

Be careful what you wish for. We just came out of a drought and appreciate every drop of rain. It is not fun when you have to drive to another state to buy hay because your fields are dead from lack of rain. It will be dry soon enough.
Blessings,

It’s rained for months here in the NC Appalachians. A friend just moved back from San Antonio and she is so thrilled at how cool and GREEN everything is. Like you, I want some cool, green Spring that includes some sunshine.

Perhaps it’s time to commence with the ark-building – after all, you already own most of the animals!

With all this rain my hillside looked like a jungle so I spent two days trying to weed out some of the mess – I now have poison ivy starting at my forehead, all down my face and neck and chest and it seems to be working itself down – waaaaaaaaaaaaa.

We need more rain here in California. IF we could figure out how to lasso those rain clouds, we could drag them here and where ever rain is needed. Then you all could have your real spring!

Here in so cal, we have had almost nonstop low clouds and fog (I live near foothills in rancho cucamonga)…Not rain to speak of, but moist clouds all day long….for four weeks basically. Another week it looks like until we see sun. I know it isn’t helping the drought. We either need lots of rain or some sunshine once in awhile.

Here in holland, the spring has been wonderfull the first few weeks, but appauling after that, constant rain, and because i live near the sea, constant wind.
That can get very cold…..
So now we are waiting for summer, given up on spring, and see what that will bring us.
A good thing, my strawberries have been exploding with colour and flavour…….wonderfull.

PLEASE send that rain north west to Alberta!!! We are extremely dry to the point that the county next to us has already declared an agricultural emergency. Cattle markets are being flooded as farmers run out of water and pasture. There will be NO hay crop this year, and without rain soon, no grain crops either. It’s getting very desperate up here.
Your pics are the closest I’ve come to a spring rain this year. 🙁
