Peanut Butter Fudge

I’m not sure if there is any candy easier than peanut butter fudge, which makes it a great last-minute treat for the family or to take to a party–and everyone loves it. Because who can’t love peanut butter fudge. There are so many different flavors of peanut butter today, and I’m wondering if anyone has ever made peanut butter fudge with Nutella or one of the other various new brands of flavored nut butters? I’m thinking that would be a cool twist on classic peanut butter fudge. Someone try this and let me know if it works just the same!

Meanwhile, here is the classic version:

Peanut Butter Fudge:

1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups sifted powdered sugar

Line an 8- or 9-inch square pan with buttered waxed paper.

Combine the peanut butter and butter in a microwave-safe bowl and heat for about one minute.

Stir. It should be all melted now. You can also do this on the stovetop if you don’t like to use the microwave.

Stir in the vanilla, then the sifted powdered sugar.

Spread in the prepared pan.

Chill for about two hours then cut into one-inch squares. This recipe is so easy, you could make it with a two-year-old. I always liked things like that around the holidays, recipes the kids could “help” make and get fast results. And candy keeps well, so this is a good thing to make now!
