Free Book Friday: Happy Easter!!!!!!!!

Apr

We’re getting bunnies!!! Soon! This coming week, I hope!!! Maybe they will be mice-eating bunnies? (Do bunnies eat mice? Buttercup can use all the help he can get.)

This is Morgan’s “sidewalk art” for Easter in front of the farmhouse!! It’s spring break week, too! So what are you doing for Easter? Egg hunt, ham, filling baskets, coloring eggs, torturing and then killing the person who invented Easter grass? (No, I don’t have a thing about Easter grass and how it clogs up the vacuum and shows up for months afterward in strange places and DRIVES ME CRAZY, NOT AT ALL, I’m fine….) Leave a comment, and a random comment number will be picked on Monday to win their autographed pick from my contemporary backlist!!

Happy Easter!!!!

Oh, I’m first to wish everyone a Happy Easter and Passover too.

Sorry, Suzanne, but bunnies are vegetarians and speaking of–I’m going to my nephews with all the relatives and since he is one also, we will have a vegetarian Easter ๐Ÿ™‚ No baby pigs or chicks were harmed in the making of our dinner:rotfl:

  2. KimW says:

I hope you have a wonderful Easter! I’m heading out tomorrow to go to brunch with the family. I plan to taste a little of everything on the table and then some. haha!

  3. Maureen says:

Good luck with your bunnies. Don’t leave a blanket on top of the cage to keep them warm like a friend of ours did because they will eat it. Our daughter is actually working on Easter so we will have an Easter ham after she is done. Have a wonderful holiday.

  4. marelou says:

Happy Easter and a Blessed Passover.

I have 2 birthdays (16 and 18) and I’m combining it with Easter lunch, so it’s going to be a busy weekend for me. The girls decorated the dogwood tree in front of the house with easter eggs (hung with ribbons) and streamers. ( i hope they clean it up as well) Now that most of the kids are older, we hide easter eggs filled with coins–they seem to get found a lot quicker

  5. Estella Kissell says:

    Happy Easter to your family.
    Hate that grass from baskets!

  6. Sonja says:

Glad I’m not the only one in the world who HATES EASTER GRASS. The Easter bunny was going to visit my husband (I have no kids, so bunny has an easy job), but the Easter bunny is down to about $27 so he’s going to leave my husband… uh… shots of Vodka, tuna fish sandwiches, beefstick… and whatever else he can find in our fridge. Jellybeans are boring anyway.

  7. TeresaH says:

    Happy Easter to all!

I’ve got my granddaughter and we will be going to my parents house to have dinner (ham!) and an easter egg hunt.

  8. Fannie M Wiggins says:

Happy Easter to everyone. I am not doing anything special for Easter this year. My bestest friend and I are going to church, then out to lunch. Neither of us have family close and we are both widder women, so we don’t cook much even on holidays. Got the Easter goodies sent to my grandsons so I can relax and have a quiet holiday. I am having my second cataract surgery on Wed., so I am preparing for that. I hope everyone enjoys their meal on Sunday and any leftovers on Mon. Have a great week-end and God Bless.

  9. Minna says:

    Happy Easter!

  10. Toni Anderson says:

    Have a lovely Easter weekend!!

  11. Jennifer Yates says:

I am spending Easter at my brother’s. Tomorrow my 6-year-old nephew, twin 2-year-old nephews, and 5-year-old cousin will hunt Easter eggs.

I am not a fan of Easter grass either!

    Happy Easter!

  12. Marcy says:

    Happy Easter, everyone!

We’re having a spiral sliced ham tomorrow. It’ll just be the four of us, so very relaxing. The boys will still get baskets filled by the ‘bunny’ (Moi ).

I HATE Easter grass! I just found a strand this morning on the bathroom floor from last year! :wall:

  13. Carol says:

Happy Easter and Happy Passover everyone!

Catslady is going to my son’s house! :rotfl: Oh, and I’m a vegetarian, too!

  14. Lis says:

    Happy Easter!
    Enjoy the bunnies. ๐Ÿ™‚
Tomorrow we’re having pot roast. Can’t wait! Today we made cabbage rolls and dad’s jellied salad. Still need to color some eggs. Just going to relax tomorrow and maybe enjoy some sun, if it doesn’t snow in the morning

  15. Joely says:

Happy Easter, Suzanne! I can’t wait to see pictures of the cute little bunnies!!!

  16. Cousin Sheryl says:

    Hi Suzanne,

Hope you have a blessed and peaceful Easter! Love to the kids!

Madison got a new blazer, khakis, shirt, tie and new shoes! He is so HAPPY! (Not!)

    See you soon!

  17. Cheryl S. says:

Happy Easter and Passover everyone! Going to church then to mom’s for ham dinner. Easter grass is nasty . . . the Easter bunny didn’t use it when he made the baskets here. ๐Ÿ˜†

  18. Sue C says:

    Happy Easter, Everyone!

  19. Melissa says:

A very Happy Easter to all!

  20. Crystal* says:

The only new bunny I have is Periwinkle on the bottom of my blog. I adopted her from bunnyhero labs. She livens up the blog a bit. And I needed someone to keep my weather pixie company.
    Happy Easter!
    Grins*

  21. ruby55 says:

I kept looking for the Friday blog but you weren’t here. Thought you might have flown the coop for the weekend.

Hope everybody had nice weather for Easter–not that it isn’t about time.

We had a lovely meal at a private club though the host couldn’t make it and the hostess got sick during the meal and had to be taken home. One of the guests came down with a stomach flu on the way there. So the rest of us are wondering: Who’ll be next in “sick bay”?

Apart from that, it was a delicious meal and the company was good too. And the weather was golden though clouds are covering the sun now.

Ah, Teaberry realized I was looking at her again. She always plays these little games with me. Sorry, Teaberry. I’m finished for now.

For those who are off work or school tomorrow, have a wonderful day.

  22. Karen G says:

Happy Easter to you. I had dinner with a friend and now I’m going to sit down and watch a movie.

  23. Angie says:

    Happy Easter to all!
We spent Friday and Saturday cheering on our son, the Jr. thespian, in his Middle School’s production of “Grease”. He was Johnny Casino. Who knew the kid could sing and play like that! Must come from my side of the family…. ๐Ÿ˜†
We actually skipped church this morning ๐Ÿ˜ณ for the first Easter in years. Quiet dinner at home, just us and the kids. All in all, not a bad way to spend the weekend.

  24. Robyn says:

Back home from our Easter holiday; had turkey supper, birthday cake on Good Friday(my bd and my twin brother’s). We also celebrated a niece’s and a sister–in-law’s bd later in April.
Went to the old farmstead and to my brother’s farm where we grew up. Happy Easter!!!

  25. Jennifer Yates says:

Update on my Easter…things went well, but considering your easter grass comment I had to share one thing…the Easter grass attacked!
It defintely should not be given to children under the age of 3 who decide to throw it around and use it like confetti and don’t grasp the concept of leaving it in the basket…I am still picking Easter grass out of my stuff and got a little tired of helping little ones get it off their feet and my own feet…not to mention that we had not just one color, but three: yellow, purple, and green! :hissyfit:

Hope everyone had a great weekend and Easter!

  26. Suzie Thompson says:

I just finished Deep Blue… I absolutely LOVED it!! I can’t wait to read the others… there will be more, right?
(Okay, I’m sorry… that so wasn’t a demand… a plea? That’s the word!) I literally picked up the book and did not sit it down until I was done reading! (Which resulted in me heating up dinner… but it was worth it!!) Great, great job!!!

Have fun with the bunnies! The kids should really enjoy that! Hope ya’ll had a Happy Easter!

  27. Ashley says:

Easter grass is the nemesis of cat owners. They’ll eat it up and then you have to watch it come out the other end. YUCK!
