No Problem, Really….

Okay, I’m here to confess that the fabulous herbs I bought two weeks ago are STILL in their little nursery pots and NOT yet replanted in the nice big deck pot where they belong. The nice big deck pot is still full of weeds. But, you know, when it rains the dogs like to drink the muddy water out of it because WHY DRINK THE CLEAN WATER IN THEIR BOWL WHEN THERE IS STAGNANT SLIME AVAILABLE?

In the past couple weeks since the kids got out of school and I sent off Deep Blue, I *have* written the 10,000-word PAX online read for eHarlequin, ordered promo materials to pass out at the Romance Writers of America conference in Reno, actually FINALLY got tickets for Reno (when I die in the prop plane connection I’m taking from L.A. to Reno, please send flowers to the crash site), cleaned the ENTIRE downstairs of my house (which was a pigsty!!), organized my next newsletter (if you’re not on my newsletter list, please click the link in the sidebar to join!!), and made reservations for two family vacations we have coming up.

So, it’s not THAT bad. I’ve been busy!! So why do those herbs still sitting in their little nursery pots make me feel so guilty?? We’re going to Ocracoke Island next week and I’ve got a whole list of things to do when we get back. This is the time of year, six weeks before the RWA conference, when I realize that I have gained 5,000 pounds since last year and must LOSE IT ALL IMMEDIATELY, I haven’t bought a new pair of shoes since the last RWA conference, I have no clothes that don’t make me want to run screaming into the night, I haven’t been to the hairdresser in months, and my conference workshop isn’t prepared.

I plan to remedy all of that, write several new proposals, and solve world hunger week after next.

Sounds like a plan to me!! Good luck with that world hunger thing. Oh, yeah, and the rest of it, too!
    Aren’t dogs funny!:rotfl:

  2. Joely says:

I’ve got a pot of dead sticks that started as a plant my MIL gave me to “take care of” three years ago. I walk by the sticks at least 5 times a day. I still haven’t dumped them.

  3. Jill Monroe says:

Suzanne – wow – you’re so much more organized than I am!

I LOL on the dog water. I always wonder about the dog food commercials about suck picky eaters, when I see dogs that eat and drink just baout anything:lol:

    You go girl!
I don’t know why you waste so much time! 😆
I wish I could go to Reno. You’re workshop last year was awesome.
Good luck on the world peace thing.

  5. Carol says:

You’ve done A LOT in the past few weeks.
    Good luck with rest!

  6. Beth C says:

Wow. You HAVE been busy! Suddenly, I feel like a lazy blob. Cripes. I should dust …or something. Uh, you’re getting on a prop plane? Even the thought of that has me racing for Dramamine.

  7. Jill says:

Maybe after you’ve solved world hunger, you could work on my house and to do list. You know, if you’re bored.

  8. Kelly says:

Um, maybe you need those new shoes sooner than you think. Always makes me feel better sporting some snazzy new footwear. 😉

  9. Robyn says:

You should be very pleased with yourself on all your accomplishments- you go girl! That is amazing. Keep up the good work.

  10. Christyne says:

Hey, before you deal with all those issues, please post your plan to lose those thousands of pounds…this Reno bound writer needs to know! :rotfl:

Congrats on getting all that done!

    Christyne:heart:

I’m afraid I may need to call in the PAX League for that one, Christyne….

  12. Melissa Marsh says:

    You’re a busy lady! But you’re happy, right? 😉

  13. Crystal* says:

It’s nice you have everything lined out. *snickering slightly* Let us know how that goes.
Are you a planner or a jumper? I’m picturing planner. Which means you’ll be slightly insane for the next six weeks or so. But what a pay-off! Have fun on vacation. And have a great time in Reno. You’ll be fantastic!
    Grins*

  14. Lynn says:

And with just the one post, I’ve descended into Slugworld. You mean I’m actually supposed to *clean* my house? So *that’s* the problem!

If you figure out how to lose that weight, you need to post it. I could use some good weight loss, and I’m not even going to Reno (but I will be at M&M in the fall).

LOL at the dogs! Mine are the same way. They’ll drink any liquid available, yet they pick out the Kibbles ‘n Chunks they like and throw the rest around my utility room. Go figure.

  15. Tori says:

You make me so tired reading about all you manage!

  16. Mary says:

Oh, stop it. You always look great!!

  17. BJ Deese says:

  18. Sheri says:

And I’m tired just reading your blog entry Suzanne! Wow, that’s a lot of work. And I too need to lose weight. Maybe if I do a little more :bananadance: . . .
    Sorry, I couldn’t help myself.

  19. trish says:

Suzanne, I’m tired just reading your post. And since I can’t go to Reno this year, I have a whole year extra year to lose the weight I put on since Dalas. :bananadance:
(gotta find those silver linings where you can…)

  20. Mary Stella says:

Heck, Suzanne, you still have six whole weeks. That’s too soon to stress! :hyper:

  21. Teresa H says:

Hang in there busy lady! :wall:

  22. kacey says:

wow, I’m a slug compared to you. But if you figure out the weight loss before Reno thing, let me know… :fryingpan:

  23. Michelle says:

You could cure cancer, too, while you’re at it. But seriously, I just remembered to water my deck plants today when they look as though they’re about to die.
