A Pinch of Pepper

This dog is tiny, like the size of a pinch. A pinch of pepper–because her name is Pepper! I didn’t name her. Thank goodness, since the last dog I got, I named Precious. Heh. Pepper is a pound dog, though I didn’t get her directly myself from the pound, but from someone who got her from the pound and really wanted a chihuahua. Pepper is not a chihuahua. She is some kind of tiny pug-like dog, and she is an older dog, but I don’t know how old, but she was ready for a new home, and I thought Precious was ready for a companion–and Pepper is VERY well-trained and sweet and calm and older…so. Here she is!

What a sweet little face! Is she the same size as Precious?

Thank you for adopting Pepper, and thank you for this post. During the first couple of months after the holidays the pounds and shelters are filled with animals that were given as gifts because they were “so cute” and then quickly become unwanted because they are to much trouble or not the right kind of pet. This is a wonderful time to bring an animal into your life and give them a loving and forever home.

Suzanne! Congratulations on your tiny Pepper. I was worried that your blog had been a little quiet, so glad to see this happy post!

I was just looking at the cheese making workshop (I wanna make hard cheese dammit!) but was undecided. I had a wonderful time at the retreat a few years ago, but due to the elevation etc. I spent a lot of that time dizzy and sort of car sick haha! But if there is the option of carrying around a little pinch of pepper to make me feel better, that might help. And maybe smooching a goat or two. And a cow. Tee hee!

—-I also wanted to add that Pepper looks adorable and so sweet, thank goodness he has a good home now and he can feel secure for the rest of his life, he will be an asset to your life as well as you to his. Pets give so much and ask for so little in return, we could all take a lesson from them.

So happy to see a post! I can only imagine how busy you are with workshops and Etsy. Pepper is a cutie! I know you sometimes post and then take it down in a few hours. What happened to Precious? Is she still around? Sorry for asking if it is a horrid story. I / We grow to love your animals.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, as well as the CITR family.
