All Three, Again

I actually had all three of my kids here this past weekend, which hasn’t happened in a few years! Ross is out of the Navy now, and living at home this summer after six years on a fast attack submarine. He’ll be starting at WVU in Morgantown this fall. Morgan is home from her second year at WVU, working again this summer as the 4-H ambassador for neighboring Clay County. Weston was home for the weekend–he’s currently stationed at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Where’s Morgan in the pic? Hiding in the red chair? So glad for you to have all of them home at the same time!

That must be Killer on Weston’s lap! (I think I remembered the correct name for his cat).

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
