Bad Hair Day

Miss Cotswold has food in her hair. She might think twice next time at the hay trough if she wants a date with the Mister! (Tis nearly shearing time! Can’t wait to get my hands on that wool this year now that I can knit.)

  1. Nancy in Iowa says:

MmmHmm!!! Makes you wonder where that girl has been! Now if that were straw instead of hay, I’d suspect she’d been with a boyfriend up in the barn loft….. :dancingmonster:

  2. Runningtrails says:

I just love the cotswolds’s long curty wool! How can she see? She is so cute!

  3. Chic says:

I agree with Nancy…I think she was up to something even if she was in hay and not straw…see she’s hiding behind her bangs and can’t even look you in the eye! :bugeyed:

  4. KentuckyFarmGirl says:

I’d run my head into the hay too if I had hair like that and couldn’t see where I was going LOL! Each time you mention knitting or crocheting, it makes me want to learn! It’s almost spring, maybe I’ll add it to my “next winter” list.

  5. NorthCountryGirl says:

Love that face! I wanna sheep!!! I used to spin wool, ply it, knit it, weave it…all those things. I’ve always wanted to have my own sheep so I could say I grew a project from scratch. Bummer. Have fun with all that gorgeous wool. Miss Cotswold is beautiful.

  6. Lisa in California says:

    Where are her eyes?!?!

  7. Lynn says:

The curly wool on her is so pretty! Messy, but still pretty!

  8. Mama Pea says:

Gimme thick, curly hair like that and I’ll deal with the food in it.

  9. Michele Messier says:

That is the most beautiful head of hair (wool) you gotta love it!! God has a sense of humor! :sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:

  10. Betsy says:

So, are you going to shear her yourself? Wash the wool with your own soap? Dye from your garden? Spin the wool into yarn?

    She is a beauty!

  12. Jo says:

Uh-oh! I think Dookie’s been giving Miss Cotswold lessons in personal hygiene!! :sheepjump: 😆

  13. kerri says:

She has that “natural” look :sheep: Such beautiful curls! :moo:

  14. Julie Wriston says:

I was going to say, and agree with Nancy and Chic, that it looks like she’s had a roll-in-the-hay with the boyfriend already.

  15. The Retired One says:

I love, love, LOVE her “hair”!!!

  16. Angela says:

    Hey Suzanne!

I couldn’t find an email address for you but I just found this blog that you have to take a look at! She makes baskets and purses out of plastic bags from the store! I think you could do it too! https://candarbrygarden.blogspot.com/2010/03/pick-yours.html They are amazing!

I would love to know what you think about this!

I can hardly wait to see you getting into the wool – I spin, knit, and crochet and am having a blast with my spinning with a drop spindle.

This is my favorite video I always suggest people watch:

In this one Abby shows using a simple home-made spindle
