Busy Little Bees

The babies are so busy! It’s hard to take a picture of them because they’re always in motion. If Dr. Pepper isn’t running back and forth on the shelf in the goat house, he’s chewing on my hair or my camera strap. Here, he was actually still for an instant in which I got this shot while he was climbing on my knee to get to my hair.

I can get all sorts of shots of their cute little wiggly butts.

Here’s Sprite’s baby walking back and forth between her legs.

They don’t let those poor mommies relax for a second before they find them.

Just like people babies!

Sprite: “We need some Calgon in here!”

Suzanne, I think it’s time you confessed to your secret. You’ve had yourself cloned so that you can spend all your time with the babies, even the baby dinosaur, and still get done all the things you do in a day!!!

  2. Julia says:

Nutmeg’s baby is Dr. Pepper, right? And Clover’s twins are Sailor and Pirate? Do Sprite’s and Fanta’s babies have names?

  3. Glenda says:

They sure are cute and they look so snug in the straw inside the goat house.

Is this the crop for the year?

I am behind on the farm/barnyard happenings. Did you get BP rebred?
What is the story on that.

  4. DB says:

Yes, Sprite probably does need Calgon to “take her away”! She’s had a rough couple of weeks! Glad things are better with her and her little one.

I can only imagine how much she would like some Calgon. Sometimes I feel just the same.

  6. CindyP says:

See? It would just be easiest to post videos! 😉 LOL!

I’m so glad Sprite is being a good momma now..I’d give her all the Calgon she wanted…with a glass of wine on the side and munching a cookie.

  7. Ramona says:

I don’t have goats, but I have the same problem trying to photograph cats. They’re too dang fast.

  8. texwisgirl says:

Oh they’re so SWEET – from here, where they’re not jumping on me, eating my hair, chewing on camera straps or clothing, and butting into their moms for more milk time! Dang they’re CUTE! Those poor momma goats. Sprite is certainly saying, “I did NOT sign up for this!”

  9. Heather N. says:

    Calgon AND Cookies 🙂

  10. Larissa says:

Baby goats are the best! Their sweetness is overwhelming—you know, since they aren’t trying to eat my hair.

Too cute! We love the Dr. Pepper video! That’ll suffice for now! ; ) You get some Calgon right along with those goat mommas! Hard work!

  13. Lynne says:

They are the busiest babies i’ve ever seen. They make me tired just looking at pictures! :clover:

  14. Window On The Prairie says:

Oh I think they need more than calgon. How about some makeup and nail/hoof polish?

  15. Sheila says:

I can definately understand about the calgon LOL 🙂

  16. GrammieEarth says:

I used to think I liked my neighbor. AS much as I try to sway her, she refuses to let me fence in our properties so I can have a couple of goats and a few chickens. Bylaws notwithstanding, I am still trying to convince her WE CAN DO IT in our lil patch of city in the woods…no one else would ever have to know!

GOod thing she makes an awesome lemon loaf!!!
