Cake for the Mommies

Somebody.

Somebody who shall remain nameless.

(LITTLE!!!!) Got into some cake on the counter and there was nothing to do but give it to the mommies. I almost gave it to Clover, but I decided the mommies deserved it more.

The mommies thought so, too.

They were beside themselves.

And people think goats can’t sit at the table just like people!

Okay, so then they tossed the cake plate on the ground to finish licking it and Clover broke into the goat house.

I got Clover out of there and made off with the cake plate.

And my life. Just barely!!!

    Goats and Cat in collusion?
    Great cake pan…old? FireKing?

LET.S GET THIS STRAIGHT. You went in to get the cake pan and all the sudden clover can in to rescue you from the hungry goat mommies.

Hmmmm! That “somebody” looked soooo sweet and innocent in that picture. Are you sure it was that “somebody?” Could it have been the paw prints on the counter? Or, the telltale crumbs clinging to the whiskers? Hmmmm! That “somebody” is sooo cute. Would HE do a thing like that??? Really!?!? (cough, cough)

  6. RockWhisperer says:

Oh, never a dull moment at your place!

  7. Window On The Prairie says:

We have a cat like that too. She attacks bread and gets it down on the floor and wallers it. She doesn’t eat it, she just likes to kill loaves of bread. Very strange.

Yes, I think that “nameless somebody” and the goats are in cahoots!
But the goats had to be the instigators; sweet kitties wouldn’t do anything like that on their own! 😉

I’m thinking your goats are sugar junkies and you are their Candy Man!

  10. leanna says:

Little knew they needed it and just wanted to give you a push in the right direction, right? =)

  11. Susan says:

This is so hilarious! Suzanne your pictures are always so great! I hope you win the Bloggie for photography. Those have to be the most spoiled goats mommies, and really a Little cat lick never hurt anything…Little just has good taste!

  12. BrendaE says:

Oh how funny! I love the looks on those faces. They were in pure bliss – and poor Clover deserves cake too – she got to lick the bowl.

  13. susan says:

Cake has that effect on all of us!!! :sheepjump:

  14. Julia says:

Oh, it was because of Little you gave the goats the cake. Silly me, I thought you routinely shared.

  15. Diane says:

I notice the mommies have not yet mastered the use of silverware. And they have their feet on the table. Not quite ready to dine at Le Cordon Bleu du Chevre. As if they care.

  16. Ramona says:

I was thinking there was going to be a hot pursuit!

Will be out of pocket next week, catch up when I can.

  17. Barbee' says:

I’ve heard of contented cows. I’m sure you now have contented goat mommies. Lovely!

  18. AnnieB says:

Little look sly. Very, very sly. He must be on the take. How did the goat mommies pay him off? Catnip, perhaps . . .

  19. Linda Zoldoske says:

Loved this post! Cheered me up immensely! Thanks!

  20. Runningtrails says:

That Little is a cutie! Does he like cake? I have one that eats anything too, and one that is so picky. Cats are great!

Those mommies sure do desrve that cake! Being a mommy is a full time job!

  21. Marla says:
