Calendar Marked

Morgan wrote “Book comes out!” on the 15th on our calendar. She’s excited about my book, though she has no time to read it. She’s taking honors classes and playing volleyball and powderpuff football. And she has a boyfriend. I can’t compete. Especially with the boyfriend.

She said, “I’m afraid people are going to walk up to me and ask me things about the book and I won’t know what they’re talking about.” I said, “Maybe you should read it!” She said, “I should probably just nod no matter what anyone says.” Me: “Good idea.”

If you want to do more than nod, and if you missed my newsletter where I sent out the link, you can download the first chapter of my book for free here:

Get the first chapter!

Though if you’re too busy because you have a boyfriend, I understand.

Ran in here to check a recipe on the ‘puter. Saw that the first chapter was posted. Just wanted to take a peek. Read the chapter and burned the casserole! It was worth it.
I’ll be waiting at the door for UPS each day this week for my advance copy of Chickens in the Road A Life in Ordinary Splendor. Doesn’t matter I kind of know parts of the story…it’s the telling that’s compelling.

I almost peeked, but decided not to, I ordered my copy back in April, It was hard not to peek, but I used my willpower, you know, that thing you do when you walk past the chocolate candy and keep walking? 😆
