Capture, Commune, Consume

Chloe has a little daily routine. She captures a single egg. She takes it to the back porch and sits down to commune with it for a time, showing it off to the other dogs and cats, periodically rising to circle it and bark to let any comers know it’s hers. Then she consumes it.

Her day is not complete without it!

I see Maia looking on with interest. LOL

Well, at least Chloe will always have a healthy, shiny coat.

Did you mean to say her day is not complete *without* it?

Why is this so unusual? I do this every morning myself, except that after circling, barking at and communing with the egg I fry it. :hungry:

I love how she can carry an egg in her mouth and not break it… especially when she puts it down to commune with it… yet, I routinely break or crack at least 1 egg a week carrying them in an egg basket. Guess I need to carry the eggs in my mouth….

Course you only see the eggs that Chloe successfully transports to commune with. For all you know she’s had a failure or two and just went ahead and munched them down. 😉

Ha, wonderful! Oh but to read the minds of our animal friends. 🙂

Glad to know that my GP isn’t the only dog to eat whole eggs.

Pyr’s are the weirdest dogs. They create jobs that involve guarding stuff. One of mine has to have food in her bowl to guard all day against invasions by the cats and her sister. She doesn’t want to eat the food, just lord it over the other animals all day. Then after she has tormented them long enough she will finally eat her food.
