After I coaxed the chickens out yesterday, my yard was patterned in chicken tracks!

That is really interesting, they sorta look like stars. It is neat the patterns we see in a fresh snow. Yesterday I went outside and in the fresh snow were various tracks, I like to figure out what might have made the, birds, a rabbit and some that belong to the neighbors cat and then I came across some huge tracks that I was sure belonged to Bigfoot-yikes!! –then I remembered, Hubby had gone out to the bird feeders.
    I love the snow!

It amazes me how they can trot around the yard in their little bare feet. Freezing rain or light snow, they’re out there in their yard pecking away. Makes me feel cold. I’m layered in sweaters and sweatshirts with heavy wool socks and they are out there in bare feet and feathers. BRRRRRRR!

    Suzanne,
They are sending kisses for you from the chicken yard….Ohhhh, how sweet…
I wonder what makes the hugs…!!

–now there’s a thought, maybe you could crochet little chicken booties!!
Your yarn is beautiful, I love those colors, I can see the yarn in a big wooden bowl, or an old basket.
We has another glorious snow during the night, the kind that sticks to all the trees and fences, it is so beautiful.
Have a safe and warm day.

Snow gives us so many interesting sights to see, doesn’t it? I especially love seeing the various tracks. The chicken feet make such a pretty pattern in the snow.
I wonder how cold their feet get.
The light snow we’ve had all morning has stopped for the moment. The snowy view is gorgeous!

As I went out to the chicken house after a fresh snow the tracks I followed was a doe. She ventured in the back yard and ate a few apple mummies off the tree and then looked at the dried corn stocks in the garden. She then found her way to the chicken yard where she scratched in the snow looking for the Girl’s left overs.
