Full-Service Rakers

It’s the goats’ favorite time of year! Food falls from the sky. They love leaves. They don’t like the crispy brown leaves, but they adore the juicy red and yellow ones. When the wind blows, they run after the leaves to catch them as they hit the ground.

They rake, dispose, AND fertilize! It’s a full-service operation. If you have a leaf problem (and don’t compost or put them on the garden) and are tired of raking, bagging, and disposing of your leaves, get a goat or ten! Cheaper than a lawn service!

I would LOVE to have a goat or two or three, but my subdivion homeowner’s association would frown on it. :hissyfit:

Here in northeast Kansas, we never rake our leaves. We just wait for the wind to blow them away, and it obliges every time. :happyfeet:

Mine also clean up lots of the bazillions of acorns that fall from our oak tree! This time of year it’s like a hail storm every time I walk under that tree, LOL- good thing acorns are not the size of pumpkins… :jackolantern:

The dry brown vs green and fresh thing applies in this case, as well, by the way.

Well, my fallen apples and crabapples would delight them no end, I’m sure.
