Glory Bee’s Court

Jan

Glory Bee, holding court with the hens.

She needs some kind of company during (temporary) periods when she’s separated from mommy. The chickens enjoy her big giant baby back.

It’s a good place to stretch out and straddle….

….or even take a nap!

Wathc for eggs, my chickens lay their eggs right in the calf pen.
They are so cute, even though I have chickens and calves amany, I love your photos. You do a great job..

  13. Deni says:

Looks like the hens have found a nice furry heating pad for this cold weather!

  14. texwisgirl says:

So cute! Glory Bee is getting So big! At least she’s starting to be more accommodating! 🙂

  15. princessvanessa says:

If a few more chickens would climb aboard Glory Bee, the chickens would have warm feet and Glory Bee would have a feather blanket (albeit a live blanket).

  16. Jen says:

It looks like such a peaceful place! I think you should write some children’s picture books with GB as the main character. All her adventures would make some really fun stories & the pictures would be adorable.

  17. Alyce Shane says:

How thoughtful of your hens to hold her down for you!

  18. Ramona says:

Those are cute pictures. That baby makes me want a calf….

  19. Christine says:

What a great place to warm their toes.

  20. katherine jenson says:

:moo: Glory Bee….what a cuty! Then hens are so funny…. I would rather watch animals than tv and that is no joke!

  21. Michele says:

My first thought was, “That is so cute” they all look like they get along so well. Your farm is really looking great but lots of work I am sure! :pawprint: :pawprint: :pawprint: :pawprint:

  22. lilac wolf says:

And hopefully not lay eggs. Can’t wait until we can have chickens, CW already has his picked out.

  23. Whaledancer says:

It looks to me like story-time in the barnyard. The chicken recites to Glory Bee
“The more it snows (Tiddly Pom)
The more it goes (Tiddly Pom)
    On snowing.
    And nobody knows (Tiddly Pom)
How cold my toes (Tiddly Pom)
How cold my toes (Tiddly Pom)
    Are growing.”

    And Glory Bee responds
    “Cottleston Cottleston Cottleston Pie,
Why does a chicken? I don’t know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply
    Cottleston Cottleston Cottleston Pie.”

And then they all snuggle up together and have some cookies and warm milk…

  24. Sheila Z says:

Example of a symbiotic relationship. They are both getting warmth from the others body heat and the chicken can pick lice (if GB were to have any). Win, win!

  25. Karo says:

This may be a stupid question, but how long until a baby cow becomes a full-grown cow?

  26. Miss Becky says:
