Aww, no nests? It would be cool to have baby ducks hatched on your own farm. :duck:

They haven’t made any nests yet, that I know about, but we’re planning to set up a little duck house where they can free-range but still go into nests and see if we can corral those eggs instead of finding them all over the farm!

I love Easter, such a beautiful and spiritual holiday. How exciting that the ducks are laying, everyday on the farm always holds some sort of surprise. I look forward to making chocolate peanut butter eggs eggs and an egg shaped cake for 2 of our neighbors.

So did you eat those eggs and how did they taste? Same as hen eggs but bigger?
Joell, how about posting on Farm Bell Recipes your recipe for chocolate peanutbutter eggs (chocolate coated?). My husband’s aunt used to make chocolate covered eggs of all varieties but I don’t have her basic recipe for fondant. (Dreaming of her coconut eggs now, yummmm.)

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
