Maia, playing from her dress-up box yesterday on the farm.

I’m in the Sunday Book Review today in the New York Times! I’ll be heading out to see if I can find the paper somewhere in Charleston. I’ve seen an advance copy of the review, so I know what it says already. They called my book “riveting” –so I’m pleased! Let me know if you see it!

Update: You can read the review online here!

I thought the NYT review summed it up pretty accurately.

She is just enjoying being a girl. 😀

Congratulation on the great review. I found it the same, it is hard to put it down once you start reading, I have read it twice.

“It’s all about testing some deep place inside that the comfortable, secure world today won’t make you test otherwise.” This sentence is uttered with the power and phone out, as McMinn walks through the dark, frozen house by the light of a candle she made herself.

Excellent review, as you deserve. Expect more followers to your blog 🙂
