It’s ramps time!!! Morgan’s boyfriend brought me this box full of ramps. Can’t wait to get cooking! And time for a hike up to my hillside to see how my ramps that I planted last spring are doing!

I had to look up ramps — never heard of them. Found out they are in the leek family. I hope you’ll post some recipes!

I was just wondering this morning how your ramps were doing. What a nice young man, to bring you some!

Awesome! Hubby would be drooling at the sight of them. He’s going trout fishing tomorrow, and will surely bring some ramps home even if he doesn’t catch any trout!

Mine are up about 3″ in my ramp bed. Planning on going this Saturday to dig some and will add some to my bed.

We still have low temps and snow here in Colorado. My choke cherry tree is barely budding out. So great to see spring happening for people in warmer places.

YUM! So jealous. It’s not quite ramp season here yet. A week or two more, I think. And then I’ll have to scour the farmer’s market and see if anyone has them! Up in northern Michigan, we always called them “wild leeks,” but they’re definitely the same plant. I can’t wait for ramps and morels! Those and asparagus are the BEST parts of spring!

I meant to ask if you go morel hunting on your farm and if so how well do they grow there?
