Maybe some snowdrops? Probably about all at our latitude, but we can always hope right? I’ll look back at some pictures of wildflowers from last year!

  2. texwisgirl says:

Sorry ’bout that. I’ll go pick some for you…

  3. brookdale says:

Yes, sorry about the wildflowers! Maybe you’ll find pussywillows by your stream. They’re not out yet here, but yesterday I did clip off some forsythia branches to force into bloom inside.

  4. Pete says:

If naturalized daffodils count as wildflowers, we may have some of those blooming by Sunday! There is an old homestead up behind our house that has daffodils which have overtaken what used to be a house and out buildings. Figured the originals were planted well over 100 years ago…now there are thousands of them. Gorgeous.

  5. Ramona says:

It would be hard picking the ones we have now, cause it’s only the teeny ones about the size of a pencil lead.

  6. Bev in CA says:

Can’t gripe, it is not snowing but it has been raining hard. No pussy willows yet. Do have a daffodil or two. Our Lilacs have yet to start leafing out. The bird feeders do have birds that have paired up. I am still waiting. Spring, where are you?

  7. Jennifer Robin says:

I can’t wait for spring to arrive here in the PNW. There’s so much to be done on my playhouse that can’t be done in the snow and rain!

  8. Janice Jewett says:

I won’t be picking wildflowers here for at least another month. Still lots of snow. Janice/Maine

  9. Estella says:

Spring? All that means in the Pacific Northwest is that the sky is going to keep on SPRINGING a leak.

  10. Yvonne says:

I noticed forsythia blooming on my way home from work in Charleston today!! :happyflower:

  11. KimM says:

I didn’t even realize spring started Sunday! That’s how hopeless I have been feeling about never-ending winter. No wildflowers here either, but we do have a few daffodil shoots poking up through the snow.

  12. Window On The Prairie says:

We have crocuses blooming, but they are staying right where they are – in the garden. Won’t be too long before we can pick flowers though. Daffodils are up next, and I always pick some of them.

Aw, we still have about 8 inches of snow on the ground. I’ll see the first bulbs and green grass in May… :clover:

  16. Judy says:

It’s not a wildflower, but some of my day lilies are peaking out of the ground. Ready for some nice weather.

  17. BeverlyC says:

No wildflowers here either…but that’s OK, I’m not gonna rush perfection :happyflower:

  18. Michelle says:

We’ve got trilliums and nettles popping up, and that’s about it! :purpleflower:

  19. mygirls01 says:

I love spring!! The first day of spring is my favorite day of the year!!! (it also just happens to be my birthday! LOL) :snoopy:

  20. Dawn says:

We have henbit–a weed that has tiny purple flowers–blooming now. It’s a spreading nuisance that is impossible to eradicate, but it does give some color in the spring!

  21. Bev in CA says:

It is 12 hours later and I can gripe! It is snowing and blowing. Spring seems to be receding into the distance.

  22. Martha in KS says:

I just spotted two precious purple crocuses in my yard. It’s supposed to be nearly 80 tomorrow in KC!! Happy St. Pat’s to all! :clover:

  23. Carol says:

I would pick wildflowers if there were any. We still have some snow that hasn’t melted yet. Even without the flowers, I am enjoying the sunshine. Happy spring!

  24. The Retired One says:

We still have snow in our yard, so I guess I will be shoveling.
