Never Mind

I took this photo yesterday evening and set this post to run first thing this morning. By this morning, we had a whole new cover of white on the ground and right now it’s spitting down more out there.

February, she awakes!

It was a short nap….

It just makes me hurt to see their tiny little stick legs in the snow. Mine will raise one leg up underneath them to keep one warm, then raise the other one. On the couple of days we had here this week where you could see the ground, they went EVERYWHERE! The roosters are chasing the hens around. It was sad to see their hopes of spring dashed this morning. On a good note, I had two babies born this morning. Sheena, one of our Jacobs, had a white baby (Merino) and a black baby. She always twins and has one of each. :sheep:

Your original post made me laugh at 630am though… at the time I thought – HA, just wait until she takes a look outside this morning! :sun:

  4. Ramona says:

    Those are pretty chickens.

Sorry about the snow. We might actually get it here in Mississippi.

you got to love Mother Nature! :snuggle:

Loved the photo of your chickens. Quick question. You once had the camera that you use either in the middle of the right hand side of the page or in an article. But for the life of me, I can not find it. Yes, I put in camera, new camera, etc. in the search box. (See, old dogs can learn new tricks.) But I could not find the info. A friend was asking about a new camera and I thought about you as you said you use the mostly automated portion of yours. Point me in the right direction please. Actually, I love all your animal pictures, not just today’s two beautiful chickens. Thanks.

We’re scheduled to get a another couple inches too. We still have snow on the ground from December too.

    Argh!! :dancingmonster:

  9. Bev says:

I was feeling smug reading everyone’s posts about the snow. We had none.
Got up this AM and there was 6 inches on the ground and still snowing!
After all it is still winter!
I live on the Western slope of the Colorado Rockies, so we should have snow don’t ya think????? :hissyfit:

Hi Suzanne! Don’t know about you, but today was like a March day where I work at the State Capitol complex in Charleston. The snow would come in like a mini-blizzard, and the next thing I knew, the sun was trying to come out…and in between, some wind and dark gray clouds…then it started all over again! Yep, its MARCH not February.

I’m sticking with that idea so spring will get here sooner! :butterfly:

I have a Canon PowerShot as well and always use the automatic setting. It takes the greatest photos! I do wish I could figure out how to use the macro setting though, and get real close-ups…

  13. Lisa Anderson says:

    They are beautiful!

  14. Lisabeth Olson says:

Your roosters and hens are so pretty, I have so many hens and love every one of them.
We are in the low 30s here in Oregon because when it gets sunny it gets colder at night. We are suppose to have only one night of 32 and it is 31 so mmmaaaaayyyybbbeee. The worst is over here… Hope, hope, hope! 😆
