They should have started that a couple months of go…those chickens, they’re pretty slow workers you know! One peck, one scratch, then something else holds their attention. :chicken:
AAAWWW, Mom! It’s too hot out and I’m tired and I’m sweating all over and my feathers are getting messy and the ground’s too hard and I can’t get the dumb bag open, and……….!
I think it’s the sun’s fault by making them feel relaxed and lazy, because I think they still have spring fever. Or, maybe they are taking their “break” BEFORE they start working 😆
Can’t you see they’re at the SPA?
Where else do you find a veggie buffet and a dirt bath? Or is that mud bath?
It appears they’re taking full advantage of it too!

Looks like they’re doing a pretty good job, actually. You know, compared to their baking skills.

Those lazy birds are either union workers or they work for the state! Give them cookies, that’ll get ’em scratching. :chicken:

The union leader in the background is making sure they adhere to the three rules of the “checken farm union”.
Rule #1. Eat, eat and eat some more.
Rule #2. Poop as much as possible.
Rule #3. Lay at least one egg a year.
Ya gotta love those fluffy butts!
