Party Lasagna

I’m providing the main dish at the Party on the Farm this year, and it’s lasagna!

CindyP took this picture of me using fake cheese, planning to blackmail me with it, so I am forced to post it forthwith to thwart her evil intent.

We’re talking a lot of pans of lasagna, people! FORGIVE ME.

OK, so now you have me hungry, and somewhat jealous. Since the cars are already packed, what time is dinner???

Oh, well, maybe I can find something to make do between now and Sunday…

I’m thinkin’ they’ll get over it. I wish we could have stayed to help you and Cindy make the lasagne but had to get back to teach. Linda and I are still talking about the fun we had. And we picked figs this morning. :)

Girl, all of that farm work and milking has given you really strong looking hands and arms! I bet the rest of you is just as strong and toned. You amaze me with all that you do. I hope everything goes off without a hitch for the retreat and your party. Most of all, a good time for all! I’ll be waiting for lots of pictures and updates. (I’m sure you will need a week off afterward!) :snoopy:

Hello and hugs to all of your retreat helpers….

I soooo wanted to come to the retreat…just too much in the activity arena here (school starts on the 6th and I have a freshman and a sophomore, not to mention an unemployed husband). Cheesemaking would have been my focus!! Since parmesan and romano are hard cheeses and need to age I would gladly have brought some already grated for people to sprinkle on the top of their serving if need be…. AAARGH! Suzanne….BJ’s has a pretty good pregrated in a bag version that beats the heck out of the round sprinkling canister if you can find someone who belongs near you. Of course, there may not even BE a BJ’s near you!! I’m soooo jealous!!!!!

AARGH!!!! Lasagna is my FAVORITE. Seriously, I’m like Garfield. I would take one of those pans for myself! I wish I was coming. I loved last year even thought I got there late. I know everyone will have a great time. Oh, the food, the food was wonderful. I ate my weight in those stuffed hot peppers. Oh, I’m sooo hungry. :hungry:

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
