Peanut

Beginnings and endings are all woven together on a farm. While Cookie Doe came “home” here on Monday for her new beginning, on Sunday, two adoptive mommies came to claim Nutmeg’s two new babies–in their future ending and beginning. No, they aren’t going anywhere right now, but they are sold. One of my readers, Teresa (left in the photo), together with her family, will be taking both of Nutmeg’s babies, and I’m so pleased! I love it when goaties go together. They put down a deposit and will be back in October to take their new babies home. (I haven’t told Nutmeg yet. Sore subject.)

Since I have yet to paper them, they’re going to name them then I’ll paper them accordingly. The little tan and white that I love so much? His name is Peanut! I love that! (Still awaiting a final decision on the little black one’s name.)

They’re so pretty, and so little. I’m glad they’ve found a good home.

Wonderful news! (The black one could be chocolate chip – two great tastes that taste great together!)

Aww, so happy and sad! It’s always good to know that they’re going somewhere good, but don’t you sometimes wish you could just, you know, become a goat hoarder and live in the barn with them NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE ELSE THOUGHT, and never sell them?

Aww they look like they have a new family! Still amazing to me how small they really are. How about Oreo for the black and white?

I agree, Chickenherd, it is tempting with such beautiful little goats to want to keep them ALL, ALL, ALL are MINE! Wait, wait, I don’t even have any goats–babies or not–but I’ve got goat envy. The new Mommies look like they’ll shower them with love. I expect they’ll be Kings of their new home and get their own tiaras soon after October. Ah, potential Christmas gifts await them.

It was hard to leave Peanut there, but I know he needs to be with his goat momma for a while longer. They will both be showered with love and affection. The only problem I foresee is resisting the urge to keep them in the house 🙂

lol, you guys are so funny!

They are cute babies, that’s for sure. And by the time Oct. get here, Nutmeg will be asking; “What TOOK you so long to get them?????” “You want them? Please, TAKE THEM!” “Oh, my aching udder!”

TERESA M. from WV DOP??? Is that you?! You’re so lucky to be the future mom of those adorable little goats! (I’m jealous!) :hissyfit:

    Yes, it is me!

We have a name for the little black one. They have decided on Coal, since he is black like coal.
