Poky Watch

I love my Poky! She is so beautiful. And sweet. (Jack, too.) Donkeys are such rewarding (and easy) farm animals. They give a lot of love, and they don’t require much effort. A pair of donkeys is a great addition to a small farm, if you’re thinking of it!

Meanwhile, we are on the Poky watch here waiting to see when she will have a baby. She’s been with Jack for a year now and Jack has selflessly and tirelessly done his job. He loves his work. He loves his Poky…..

I’m keeping a close eye on her. (Annabelle, too–no sign of lambs yet.)

Awww she’s so purty! I have been trying to talk hubby into mini donkeys for our farm.

We already have cattle, chickens, ducks, guineas, cats, a dog, a fish…. we really need donkeys.

    He says no.

New babies soon! By the way, how are Clover and her new little one? Haven’t heard anything about them for a while. Hope everything is OK.

I am very excited too! I love Jack and Poky, they are what first drew me to your blog. I pray all goes well for her and thank you for sharing them.

How are donkeys like that for grazing? We have a pasture that has a mix of grasses and weeds….it would be nice to have a couple animals to keep it down rather than mowing it like we do now.

Not to get too personal, but are either Pokey or Annabel bagging up? (udders filling out) If so then they are really close.

I’m looking forward to this baby as much as anyone here. It will be beyond cute.

I’m curious. Will it be safe to leave Poky and the new baby in with Jack, or will you have to separate them? If so…Poor Jack!
