Progress Report Week 1

Jan

Just a little over a week ago, I started my big winter project to crochet two baby blankets. Last week, the first blanket looked like this:

A week later, it looks like this:

I’ve got a couple bands of the stripes going on now.

The blanket will be crocheted in all green and white stripes with a peach edging. Crocheted flowers in peach and white are attached to one corner of the blanket later.

I’m a long way from the flowers……. As with spring!

    It’s going to be beautiful!

I love the colors. Thanks to your winter project post I resumed a crocheting project that I had let go by the wayside for almost a year. It is so nice on a cold day to relax and work on a blanket.

That’s a very pretty shade of green. What is the stitch? (Clearly, I haven’t yet started reading Crochet for Dummies.)

GREAT! I was wondering how it was going what with all the goat goings on! Considering you don’t take it with you when you hold Fanta down…you’re doing great. Besides it will go faster the more you do. that yarn itself is really pretty, the colors are special, too.
@whaledancer its mostly half-double crochet and single crochet The half-double crochet works really well in giving the blanket some body AND it’s closed enough that tiny fingers and toes won’t get caught in the stitches. .

Your stitches are very pretty and uniform!

I’m sure it is going to be gorgeous and cherished!

  6. Pam says:

I love how even your stitches are. Sometimes I get a little carried away and mine are too tight! Yours look so lovely.
