I am here! Well, almost…stayed in Beckley, WV last night after driving 5 hours. So excited I couldn’t sleep and couldn’t even manage to sleep IN until 7am like I wanted! Can’t wait to arrive and meet everyone. I know y’all have put so much work into this event…it’s going to be great!

I am so jealous! Will somebody please give all the animals a cookie and a kiss on the nose for me? Well, the chickens can have a kiss on the head instead ;).

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either.
