Clover’s expression when I told her we were having another homemade Christmas here and that she could not have that tiara she saw at Zale’s in the mall.

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

Well, just make her one! Buy a foam visor at the dollar store and add glitter and jewels.

Ooooo, that stare! I think there will be RAMifications, possibly the ram as in head butting. Keep an eye on her, Suzanne, and maybe make her a BIG, SPECIAL cookie just for her, and maybe a little cup of alfalfa sprouts. I’d bet she would forget all about the tiara.

Her jaw dropped in shock. Poor baby. A girl just isn’t dressed unless her tiara is in place.

You know what I love about you, Suzanne? Well, besides everything? That your animals never get old to you. So many people get bored with them but you have great stories everyday. I love reading about how much you treasure all your animals.
