Speaking of Boer Goats

Oh, wait, we weren’t speaking of Boer goats, but let’s speak of them! I’m looking for some Boer goats. If you, or someone you know, has some babies available coming up (and you are in a reasonable distance, which is central West Virginia or southern Ohio), please email me at [email protected]. Thanks!

And this photo is completely unrelated, but look at those happy chickens with the snow melted!

Love to see the grass breaking into a nice green for those chickens.

If you had been at our home this morning, you would have see one happy Chick standing on the back porch looking at green grass—then I went in and fixed breakfast.
I have never heard of Boer Goats, I will have to resaerch them, I do, however, know some Boring People 😉
I will check in our area, we have several goat famers around here.

I just looked up Borer Goats on the internet, they are so cute, from a distance they almost look like a dog with a beard.

The bare grass looks wonderful. Even with a few days melting here in Northern Illinois, we still have snow on the ground, more cold weather in the forecast and -cringe – more snow coming. I will have to rely on C.I.T.R. for emergency doses of the appearance of Spring till it happens here.

Love the pic of happy chickens. Do you seriously not have a problem with predators like hawks and owls? Are the dogs good for overhead chicken thieves? I have a horrible problem with hawks and it makes it very difficult to just let them free range the way I want…..so discouraging.

I enjoy seeing your snow free picture. We got 4-12 inches in MN last night, depending on where you live. Freeways closed again….. COME ON SPRING!!!!!!

My husband and I are about two months away from moving to an RV on our 2.5 acres.

Then I am gonna need a couple of billy goats!

    Suzanne,

I’ve had Boer goats here on my ranch in California. They make wonderful pets and wonderful 4H projects, but you can’t milk them (not really). They are meat goats. Are you looking to raise your own meat and give GoatBurger a permanent repreave?

    Denise
