I love this time of year, watching the changes as spring blooms along our little back road in wildflowers along the fencelines and leaves bursting out on the trees. It’s SPRING!!!!!

I love your country road and the wildflowers. Reminds me of when we made May baskets to hang on someone’s doorknob.

Walks and rides along such areas seem rejuvenating to me. Such a sweet view. Thank you.

So pretty! We go to our local nature centers and parks to take walks like that. I’m thankful to have them!

I love the green. I woke up to about 2 inches of snow this morning. Thankfully it’s almost gone. I’m so done with winter. Beautiful scenery you are blessed.

  9. Mariah says:

I love it when the trees get that green “haze” look to them as the leaves are just beginning to bud!

  10. Nancy in Iowa says:

Lovely! But I expected to see Ms. Jacob and babies strolling along the road!

  11. Yvonne M. says:

Yeah, FINALLY SPRING! Sure was a long winter here in WV. Ever hear the phrase/saying “March winds and April showers bring May flowers”? We’ve been running about a month late on those things this year. The March winds came in April and we didn’t have many April showers – and from looking at the forecast, looks like May will have the showers. What? No flowers ’til June? LOL

  12. Cindy says:

It’s days like this that make one forget about the harsh winter. Enjoy!

I can almost hear the late John Denver singing “Take Me Home, Country Roads”. But it would be Appellation Mountains instead of Blue Ridge Mountains…..but I understaind there is a Shenandoah River in West Virginia, too.
    What a serene view.

  14. Cousin Sheryl says:

Yes, John Denver was just a little confused when he wrote the lyrics. But, the Shenadoah River forms part of the lower boundary of our Eastern Panhandle and it joins the Potomac River at Harper’s Ferry and then the Potomac flows on down to Washington, DC and the Chesapeake Bay. The Blue Ridge are part of the Appalachian Mountains just very slightly east of our eastern border and they do sort of touch us/taper off into our Eastern Panhandle. We don’t care about the tiny errors because John Denver is our state hero because he put us on the map!
