The New Sign

–is up!

And a new farm is officially born.

P.S. I’ve had several questions about the road that runs through my farm and the animals (dogs/cats/chickens). The hard road stops at the end of my farm. There, it turns into a dirt-rock road you wouldn’t want to take without a 4WD even in good weather because of the large rocks and ruts. In other words, there’s not a lot of traffic on this road.

Very nice, maybe in the Spring you can find a huge stone and plant a couple knock out roses to complement your roses around the house. Knock outs are wonderful, hardly any maintaince and bloom all of the time.

Gotcha sign….Up for business! Glad to hear the road is not traveled greatly and then you wont get every critter run over! One street over from me is a main street and everything gets run over there.

I know you realize how lucky you are with your perfect road – great for school buses and mail trucks but no other traffic! We live on a very busy highway that is a shortcut for trucks between interstates. We moved the house back from the road but have already lost two flocks of stupid guineas. The third flock has finally learned not to cross the road – Yea, Darwin!!

Very nice. Will this be the name of your farm on the goats’ registry, too, now?

Ah, yes. Truly living on The Road Less Traveled. I’m so jealous. Just today I was sitting out back on the patio and thinking how perfect it would be if my back yard were just out in the country, rather than with houses and traffic around. I love your little farm and just die for that studio to quilt in!! Heck, I could live in that place! Now, DH might not be too keen on the idea, but …….

I am so jealous of that wonderful road with NO I repeat “NO” traffic :hissyfit:.

We are looking for a new place and that is my first thought as I plan to keep my flock and increase it. I don’t want a road anywhere near the house :moo: :pinkpig: :chicken: . You don’t have a donkey avatar, I don’t believe you don’t have a donkey avatar.

Perfect!!!! Nothing better then being at the end of the paved road!!

  10. Glenda says:

I love how the house sits up on a rise and you can look down and out on the surrounding land.

I am amaze at how much green you still have.

I LOVE it! That’s what I like is a house without much traffic going by. We don’t see many cars going by here at our farm but when they do they seem to FLY down the dirt/gravel road. You’ve got the best of both worlds Suzanne…a paved road PLUS it ends at your farm and not many neighbors past that. Perfect! :hungry2:
