The Remains of the Day

The studio looked like this when I walked in this morning:

Evidence of a day well spent!

I didn’t clean up a thing last night. As people were leaving, Ross arrived! During the day, when I checked in on Gwennie over at the house, I found a phone message from Ross letting me know that his truck was ready (he’s had it with a diesel shop for engine work the past month or so while he borrowed “Old Blue”–my truck) and he was back to get it. We’ll head over this afternoon to pick it up and he’ll have to go straight back to Norfolk. His sub just surfaced yesterday morning, so he was full of his tales of under the sea during Hurricane Sandy. I had a glass of wine and talked to Ross then went to bed!

But it didn’t take me an hour this morning to transform the studio back to this:

It will take more time to actually work through all the dishes, but everything is cleaned up, straightened up, equipment back in place, and ready to work in the studio again.

Yesterday was FANTASTIC! I could not be more pleased personally with how the day went, and I believe everyone had a great time. It was a PACKED day. I’ll be back with more details tomorrow–I’m off with Ross today.
