It’s snowing.

  1. Sandra in SC says:

Understatement…to say the least!!! We had snow here in SC earlier this week…way more than we usually get! Roads are still icy and snow packed in shady places.

  2. leanna says:

Gosh! That is just gorgeous, but I know it’s hard too! Enjoy and stay safe. I’ll still sit here and complain about my overly-cold TX weather though!

  3. patchkat says:

Yep! Understated for sure. I’m glad we aren’t having snow. I HATE having to drive in that stuff. Here in West Central TX, we’re looking at cold temps, but the sun is shining…and it’s dry. Love all those faces looking out the fences!

  4. SarahGrace says:

It’s supposed to be just flurries today! Yet, everytime I look outside it’s snowing!
At least the views are card worthy! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. Mary at Deep South Dish says:

But it’s so beautiful! No snow here (ever) but it’s pretty bone chilling cold. If it’s gonna be this could, give me some snow!!

    Gorgeous photos.

  6. Yvonne says:

It’s amazing to me that you aren’t that far away from me (I’m in Kanawha County, very close to Lincoln County) but you have so much more snow! We probably have five or six inches accumulated over the past several days. Still makes for a treacherous drive into work though….

  7. Yvonne says:

Geeze, guess your stuck for a while. I think I might have “just a bit” of cabin fever if I were you. Hey, at least you have electric, something to add to your Happy Card!

  8. Ellen in DE says:

:woof: Repeat after me: It’s not as bad as last year, it’s not as bad as last year.

Here in the mid-atlantic by this time last year we had three blizzards ugh!! :snuggle:

  9. texwisgirl says:

Glory Bee is getting so BIG! We’re finally getting the last traces of our snow melting away here in Texas, although we really didn’t get the sun today to finish it off. ๐Ÿ™‚

  10. paul says:

you need to take that tractor the one with all the snow on it an scrap the road with it an maybe you could go up your drive way?

  11. Karo says:

I think I love Clover because she always looks like she has a smile on her face.

  12. Miss Becky says:

Yeah, it’s snowing here again too. We don’t have a lot on the ground because we’ve had a thaw with rain, but this past week it has snowed more days than not. Suzanne, these photos are gorgeous!!!

  13. Mona @ Healthy Homesteading says:

Beautiful photos! I don’t envy you having to take care of the animals in that snow though.

  14. Blessings says:

We made the National News with our 44 inches and counting Lake Effect Snowfall “since last weekend” !!!

I’m west of Atlanta…we’ve been dealing w/ snow covered ice-insanity since Sunday. It was a lot of fun for awhile, but the natives are getting pretty restless around here. They’ve been out of school ALL WEEK! I went back to work today for the first time all week…it was an adventure getting there. I’d much rather be stuck in the country like you. =)

  16. Window On The Prairie says:

We had snow here several days ago, then it got really cold (below zero) Brrrr…. Winter is starting to wear thin here in NE Kansas. ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. Carmen at Old House Kitchen says:

So pretty! We have about 5 inches here in northeastern Indiana. My kiddos are itching for deep snow. We haven’t had much at all this winter. I’ll trade with you, Suzanne! ๐Ÿ˜€

  18. Deb says:

Why is it we all want what we don’t have ๐Ÿ˜• I hope it stops to make things easier for you, but….

I live 15min from WI and would love to have the snow, we are set up for it, and I have help with the chores. Your view of the vally is GREAT!!

  19. Pam says:

I’m in Jackson County, WV and we have about 9-10″ on the ground. I don’t know about anyone else in this great state, but I’M TIRED OF SNOW! I’m tired of slipping and sliding to get out to work and having white knuckles by the time I get there.

I know I have a lot to be thankful for. I have a job while a lot of others don’t. I have a warm home to come home to and a nice bed to sleep in. The one thing I’m not thankful for is all of this snow. We’re only 1/2 way through winter. UGH

  20. Lisabeth Olson says:

I can sympathize with every one of you. Ours melted yesterday, but not without freezing rain first. I PRAY we don’t get any more. We are only 300 ft. elevation and about 5 miles from the Columbia River in NW Oregon. We got our dump 2 years ago and every winter I tremble with fear of another year like that one (4ft.). Only now I milk cows. We are still hauling water because we don’t know if it will snow or freeze again.
Does it snow that much every year in WV?

  21. Valerie says:

We’ve had snow every day for the last 15 days. More snow so far than we had all last year. Getting hard to find places to plow it. And it’ll be way below zero this w/e. C’mon Spring!!

  22. Minna says:

It’s snowing here, too. It snowed yesterday and it snowing today. I wonder when our neighbour is coming to take all that snow off our road.

  23. glenda says:

I know it complicates life on a farm or anywhere, but it sure is beautiful!

  24. Ramona says:

It’s that cold here just minus the snow…..

  25. Will says:

That wooly worm was right! When did you post that one again? Found it, October 9th https://chickensintheroad.com/living/the-annual-woolly-worm-report/
Oklahoma, for the most part, has not had a severe winter–yet! I will never doubt the Woolly worm again!
