Smart cat! The new puppy is so cute and it will be fun hearing about her. Would it be possible to get an update on all the ‘old’ regulars on the farm? Annabelle, Crooked Little hen, lonely Goose, Gwennie and the original goats? They won our hearts years ago and I still look for them in the pictures.

Our little black female cat LOVES sitting in front of ours too. She also loves laying in sun patches on the floor.

When our 1st child was born we put a screened door on her room to keep the cat out. It didn’t take long for me to find the cat in the baby’s room. Kitty wasn’t after the baby, but after the sunny spot at the head of the twin bed in there.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
