I’m making several dozen party size pepperoni rolls this morning for an order that is for a wedding. They’ll be going in goodie bags. I’ve never seen goodie bags at a wedding before. You? Nobody ever gave me pepperoni rolls at a wedding. (Hmmph.) I’ve seen sweet potatoes at a funeral but not pepperoni rolls at a wedding!
But– You know it’s a wedding in West Virginia if they’re handing out pepperoni rolls!

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....

If I were to receive a goody bag at an event then a Pepperoni Roll would be awesome. A consumable and savory treat. Eat it and be done. No trinket to have to store or get rid of later.
