Four-Berry Sauce

Made this today in an effort to clean up the fridge/freezer of some odd and ends. Tried it over vanilla ice cream and it was WONDERFUL! (It was still a little warm and the contrast with the cold ice cream was nice) Would think it would be equally good over pound cake, white cake, angel food or sliced peaches…

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 10 minutes   Cook Time: 5 minutes

1 cup assorted berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 a small jar raspberry jam
2 tablespoon Cassis

Place berries and sugar in a saucepan with a small amount of water. Cook over medium heat about 5 minutes until the berries soften. Let cool. Add jam, cooled berries and cassis to food processor and blend until smooth. Pour into small pitcher or creamer to serve.
