3 Tbs. flour
1 cup milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1 Tbs. vanilla or other flavoring
1/2 cup oleo (room temperature)
1/2 cup shortening (room temperature)
1 cup white sugar

Cook the flour and milk slowly, stirring constantly until mixture thickens. Remove from heat and cool.

Then add the rest of the ingredients and beat until fluffy.
