I found this recipe years ago & use it frequently while asparagus is in season.
Servings: 4Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time: 8 min.
4 Tbsp. butter
2 cups cut up asparagus
1 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 – 1 1/2 cups rich chicken stock
Melt butter in skillet; add brown sugar; stir until sugar is dissolved. Add asparagus; saute 2 minutes, being careful that it does not burn. Add the chicken stock; cover; cook over med-low heat 3 min. Cook uncovered for 2 min. to reduce sauce. Serve hot.
