Put Bugles and nuts into a large oven-proof pan. Combine in a saucepan butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes. Boil another 5 minutes without stirring. Take off flame and add baking soda and vanilla.

Pour over Bugle mixture and stir around in baking pan. Put in a 300 degree oven and bake for 15 minutes. Take out of oven. Stir mixture around and bake for another 10 minutes. When it’s done, place waxed paper on a cookie sheet and cool mixture. When it’s cool, break the mixture apart.
