I found this recipe on All Recipes made with Dates and Walnuts. I didn’t have dates but did have the dried figs. Have way more pecans that walnuts so pecans it is. I am including the original site also.
Servings: 16-20Cook Time: 35-40 min
1 yellow cake mix
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups dried figs chopped
2 cups pecans chopped
Pre-heat oven to 350 and spray or oil well a 9 x 13 pan.
Mix together cake mix and brown sugar, add eggs and butter using hand mixer, beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Add nuts and figs, mixing well by hand. This batter is very thick.
Put in 9 x 13 pan and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until it tests done in the center.
Cool in pan and cut into squares.
