Cola Salad

This is a yummy congealed salad that we must have for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. I use a clear glass bowl for a pretty presentation.

Difficulty: Easy

Servings: 10 -12

1 can pitted red cherries
1 cup sugar (can use Splenda)
1/2 cup water
2 pkgs (3 oz each) cherry Jell-O (can use sugar free)
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple drained
10 oz cola (can use diet)
1 cup chopped nuts

Combine cherries, sugar and water in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add Jell-O and stir until completely dissolved. Allow to cool. Stir in drained pineapple, nuts and cola. Pour into mold or bowl. Chill several hours.
