This sounds good! My mom used to make a very similar dessert called strawberry fool. The difference is that in her recipe the strawberries were sweetened rather than the cream and it wasn’t frozen. A fool is an English dessert made of crushed berries mixed with whipped cream (the name comes from the French word for crushed, foul√©). It was a predecessor to ice cream. My mom knew it as a Depression era recipe for how to make a pint of strawberries feed 6 or 8 people. I guess cream was cheap but strawberries were a luxury.
