These are so chewy and delicious! I had to get the recipe and share it so I don’t lose it 😉
Thanks Kristi Poulsen for sharing!!
Servings: 5Prep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 10-12 min
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp Baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp. ginger
Mix together shortening, sugar, and molasses. Add and mix the egg.
Mix together and then add to main bowl: flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger.
Scoop into typical cookie sized pieces and roll into a ball. Roll each ball into white sugar and place on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. If you let them go longer then they become ginger snaps instead of chews.
