1 cup nonfat dry milk powder
1 cup powdered non-dairy creamer
1 cup French vanilla powdered non-dairy creamer
2 ½ cups white sugar

2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground cardamom
1 tsp nutmeg

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend until it is a fine powder (If you have a small food processor, you can combine just the instant tea and spices in the food processor & then combine everything together in a bowl). Add 2 – 3 tablespoons of mix to 8 ounces of hot water or milk.

I have this same recipe and make it every year for my daughter for Christmas. She likes it both over ice and hot. We prefer it made with milk it makes it more creamy and closest to commercial drinks. Great recipe!

  2. Jan Alexander says:

I love chi tea but I cannot use coffee creamers. Do you have any suggestions for substitutes for them?

  3. Casid says:

I have this recipe too and have given jars of it for gifts. I just love it! I have made it with Splenda as well for those who are limiting their sugar and it turned out fine.

This is so good! I make it with splenda too! Awesome to keep a pitcher of it in the fridge!

  5. funsizewife says:

This was a nice recipe. I would reduce the sugar by at least a half cup next time, as it was a little sweet for my taste. Adding or making with milk may reduce the sweetness as well. I also reduced the ginger by half, and I would reduce the cloves, as they are very strong in the mixture. It is creamy like chai should be, and the vanilla creamer makes the drink.
