  • I wonder if you could drizzle in some green food coloring to make green marbled bread for St. Patricks day? I may attempt that tomorrow, for the toast to go along with the scrambled green eggs and ham I make for my kids.

  • Place pretzels in a large bowl. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over pretzels. Stir to coat.
Pour into an ungreased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 200¬į for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Yield: 12 cups.

  • ThumbnailYou know Dasher and Dancer And Prancer and Vixen, Comet and Cupid And Donner and Blitzen. But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all? … Rudolph! Cookies! This is a simple, quick, totally easy and cute cookies idea that are a hit with kids. Reindeer cookies originally came from an article in the Taste of […]

  • Cut the peanut butter cookies dough into slices and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Gently squeeze each slice in a bit so they are kind of shaped like a fat figure eight. Place a mini pretzel at the top of the head part, on each side, to form the antlers. Then place two chocolate […]

I love this site—so many friendly folks, just had another person “friend” me. Nothing exciting going on cooking/craft wise today, but my sister is going to try to hi-light my hair. Wish me luck. I am going on a women’s retreat this weekend and do not want to look like a skunk—-lol.

  • Do you make the pie with rhubarb from you freezer? I have some in mine and I have a hubby that would love a pie. Would you need any extra flour to make up for the extra juice when it thaws or just cook it a bit longer?

  • I am excited—I finally bought the vodka to make my vanilla!! Yahoo. I was suprised to see that most of the bottle were no longer glass, but plastic. When did that happen—I guess it’s been a while since I have bought any of the hard stuff–lol. I looked until I found a brand in a […]

Here is the link the Suzann’s tutorial on making the homemade vanilla. She also has a link at the bottom of the recipe for making it in bigger batches. I had my vanilla beans, I just have to get my “liquid” to make mine. lol

The peach pops sound yummy, and your little taste tester is too cute!!!

  • I do a pot roast with roast (beef, venison or whatever) carrots, taters, ect…… 1 can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 can of cola. It is so yummy!! Cream of mushroom soup with any kind of meat in the crock pot turns out good. I also make a stew in the crockpot with […]

  • Now I am really sad that our plants didn’t come up this year. I would love to try your Hickory house pickles. Menards carries some sweet/spicey pickles from a national BBQ chain and I have become obsessed with them and hoped to someday figure them out to make myself.

  • Did I read this correctly that there is 1/2 cup of rice krispies? It doesn’t seem like much, so I wanted to clarify. Thanks.
