  • Lady, thanks so much for that!!! I did have the problem of keeping up with all the posts and feeling that I many be missing out on some stuff/info I might need. Now am aware of whats going on, and so easily and fast.

  • This is great, I think I shall allow my kids to help more with the cooking. Even if I have to have extra cleaning afterwards and the final food wont be as perfect as if I did it alone. Guess it also helps to train them to be self sufficient food cooking wise.

  • Its been some time since I also ate tonge, its a soft and delicious meat. Usually we boil it first with just water, cool it, then peel it. We then cut it into largish cubes, add salt, fry it, add tomatoes and onion and thats it. The first boil usually takes sone time because you […]

Is sweet milk a special type of milk or just milk with sweetener added to it (like that which is found in the shops)? Looking forward to making this cake, my 7 […]

  • Does the bread without salt still taste good? Even when I use the Grandma recipe to make bread, I feel like the 1/2 teaspoon for 1 loaf is a bit too little, but fear to add more coz it might make the loaf take forever to rise, am very low on patience so I need […]

  • Hi

Will 1/2 teaspoon baking powder be enough to make the 3 cups flour and cocoa mixture to rise???

Where I am, there is no animal called “shortening” (joke) what do I use instead?

Am in Southern Africa, in a country called Zambia. Here its too expensive to buy food from take aways/restaurants, so 90% of the people cook food at home. Most office workers also carry food from home and eat during their lunch break. Usualy we buy raw meat, chicken, sausage, fish etc as well as raw […]
