This is so easy, you can put it together in under 10 minutes.
Servings: 9Prep Time: under 10 minutes Cook Time: 30-35 minutes
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
dash of salt
3/4 cup butter or margarine
8 ounces jam (any kind)
Note: This works for an 8 x 8 pan. Double the recipe for a 9 x 12 and have a party.
Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, and salt in a mixing bowl. Work in butter or margarine with a pastry cutter. Place half of the flour/oat mixture in the bottom of a greased pan. Spread the jam on top. Add the remaining flour/oat mixture and press lightly. Bake at 350-degrees for approximately 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool then cut into bars.
