A great cheese sauce for mac and cheese, over broccoli or cauliflower. A nice change from the traditional cheddar cheese sauce.
Our family enjoys it over a plate of pasta, spinach and chicken. Comfort food at its best.
Servings: Makes 6-8 1/2 cup servingsPrep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes
2 cups milk
2 8oz packages cream cheese (light works great too)
1 cup grated Parmesan
1 tsp garlic powder
In a medium size pot, add cream cheese, milk, garlic powder and Parmesan cheese. Using a whisk, stir slowly over medium heat until the consistency reaches that of a moderately thick gravy, about 5-10 minutes.
